Account deletion
Delete your SnapCard account
This page explains how to delete your account in the SnapCard app (Android, iOS, and web) and what happens to your data. You can do it yourself in the app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1 — in the app
- Open SnapCard and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Privacy & data (on the web: Account → Privacy & data).
- Under Delete my account, tap Delete account and confirm.
Option 2 — by email
If you can't sign in or have uninstalled the app, email grievance@usesnapcard.com from the email address on your SnapCard account, with the subject “Account deletion request”.
We may ask you to confirm the request before acting on it, and we respond within 30 days.
What happens next
- Your account is scheduled for deletion and a 30-day grace period starts. You can cancel from the same Privacy & data screen at any time during those 30 days.
- When the grace period ends, the deletion runs automatically and you are signed out on every device. It can't be undone.
What we delete
- Your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
- The links to your Google, Zoho, or Apple sign-in.
- Photos you uploaded for AI card generation.
- All active sessions.
What we keep, and for how long
- Invoices and payment records — 7 years, as required by Indian GST law. They are unlinked from your account.
- Audit and fraud-prevention logs — 7 years.
- Study history and generated cards — kept only in de-identified form: once your name, email, and sign-in links are removed, they can no longer be tied back to you.
- Server logs — deleted automatically after 30 days.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy. For any other data-protection request, contact our Grievance Officer.
